Public Subscription

A1: The current charging services provided by the Cornerstone Public Charging Service have covered most of the common electric vehicle brands in Hong Kong. The plug styles are Type 2, CCS2 and CHAdeMO, and it also supports AC medium speed and DC fast charging.

A3: Cornerstone EV Charging App support various of payment method, including: Credit Card Payment, Apple Pay, Google Pay, WeChat Pay and Alipay. Meanwhile, all top-up amount will not be refunded, Cornerstone Technologies remain the final decision right. 

A4: Cornerstone chargers are divided into two types: AC medium speed and DC quick: AC medium speed: 7kW (single-phase 32A) and 21kW (three-phase 32A) DC Quick: 30 – 200kW (3-phase 32A) See the instructions on the charger for details.

A5: Cornerstone EV Charging Mobile App supports real-time charging status. Users can check the charging status of their EV directly in the mobile app.

A6: Some of the quick chargers at Cornerstone Charging Station will have more than one charging gun to support different plug types, but one car can be charged at a time.

A7: Due to the influence of various factors during the charging process, such as physical energy conversion losses, the amount of electricity provided by the charger may differ from the actual amount of electricity charged into the vehicle’s battery. Our company will use the amount of electricity provided by the charger as the basis for billing.

Monthly Plan

A1: EV Charging Monthly Subscription Plan is specially designed for users who intend to install electric vehicle chargers in private/monthly rental parking spot, and is applicable to all Housing Estates / Residential Car Parks and even Industrial Building Car Parks. A2: The chargers of Monthly Subscription Plan are equipped with Type 2 plugs, which are applicable to most EV brands.

A3: EV Charging Monthly Subscription Plan includes:

A4: The EV Charging Monthly Subscription Plan is charged by energy consumed, which is a fair charing method that avoid extra costs due to the environmental affection of charging speed.

A5: Yes. If the parking lot is already covered by Cornerstone EV Charging Network, you can apply for the most suitable Monthly Subscription Plan based on the monthly mileage and the approximate required charging amount. If the car park does not have network coverage, you can submit a <“Service Request Form”> first, and we will take the initiative to contact the property management office for registration and the owner’s corporation to discuss further arrangements.

A6: Yes. Monthly parking users can apply for a EV Charging Monthly Subscription Plan after being authorized by the parking space owner.

As for floating parking lots, Cornerstone will install the same number of EV chargers as the registered Monthly Subscription Plan users, to ensure all users can enjoy private charging experiences.

A7: We currently haven’t provide a EV Charging Monthly Subscription Plan for village houses. However, you are welcome to contact us (6700 0047) and purchase our chargers and charging solutions.

A8: Each service plan can only be used by ONE electric vehicle, and the license plate number at the time of application shall prevail.

A9: Private charging station only provides IEC Type2 charging sockets. Customer will need to bring their own charging cables and applicable adapters.

A10: The general installation process are as follows:

(i) Customer inquiry
(ii) Negotiate with the property management to lay the charging network
(iii) On-site investigation
(iv) Conduct and provide engineering design drawings or quotations (if necessary)
(v) Confirm the design drawings
(vi) Order materials
(vii) Construction

The installation time varies according to the complexity and type of the project concerned. Generally speaking, for housing estates where the charging network has been installed, the installation work will take about 7-14 working days. If the charging network is not installed in the housing estate concerned, the time required for the installation work will depend on the progress of research and discussion with the relevant property management office and the owners’ corporation.

A11: We provide charger relocation services, please notify the relocation matters and details in writing at least one month before the relocation, so our engineering team will have sufficient time to conduct new site survey, design and installation. If the new location does not have a charging network, it will take at least 4 months to lay, and everything will be determined after on-site inspection and evaluation.

A12: For Service Relocation, 1) Cornerstone only accept the relcation of parking lot which is under the Company Elclusive Service Agreement and where the service of our EV Charging is available and feasible
2) Require NOT less then 30 days prior written notice
3) Prepay 1-time Service Relocation Free of HK$ 6,000 / HK$ 25,000 (depends on the charger type)
4) Commence a new service contract

A13: The contract term of the Monthly Subscription Plan will depend on the franchise term of the car park of its housing estate, but basically most of the contract terms are currently 36 months.

A15: Yes, each customer are entitle to enjoy maximum 24 months free retention period from the date of application.

A17: Unused charging quota CANNOT be carried over to the next month, but the additional value-added charging amount will continue to be reserved.

Safety & Qualification

A1: Cornerstone chargers are certified by the IEC61851 International Standard and fully comply with the technical guidelines of the Hong Kong Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, ensuring safe charging and energy saving.

A2: Cornerstone is a registered electrical contractor with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of Hong Kong, which can engage in fixed electrical installation works, including installation, inspection, testing, repair or modification of electrical installations. Our engineering team is also registered as electrical engineers, providing professional and reliable services.

A3: The professional team of Cornerstone will sign the form WR1 Work Completion Certificate. Property owners can provide the certificate to the buyers for the construction details.

A4: If the person who sign the contract is a tenant of the parking space, authorization of the parking space owner is required to start the construction work.

Cornerstone EV Charging APP

A1: You can download the “Cornerstone EV Charging” Mobile App on App store / Google Play by searching “Cornerstone EV Charging” on mobile devices. The Mobile App supports devices using iOS 13.0 or above, and Android 8.0 or above.

A2: For security reasons you cannot login to the Cornerstone EV Charging App on multiple devices at the same time. If you log into your account using a second device, the first device you logged into the account with will be logged out. 

A3: eCoupon is the discount value during promotion period. The redeemed charging quota will be added to the e-wallet automatically. The charging quota is neither transferable nor refundable.

A4: The charging quota does not have an expiry date unless you delete your account. The charging quota of a deleted account will be voided.

A5: Please follow these instructions if you cannot download the app:

– Check your device to see if it supports the version of iOS or Android required for the Cornerstone EV Charging
– Check the network connection, ensuring that your device is connected to the internet & reboot your device
– Check your device has more than 100MB of storage available
– Make sure the Download Manager is turned on (Android only)

Please follow these instructions if you cannot open the app:

– Reboot your device
– Delete Cornerstone EV Charging app and reinstall the latest version of the app from the App Store or Google Play Store
